Carmel Valley is located East of Highway 1 and extends 13 miles to what is called Carmel Valley Village and far beyond. Originally comprised of cattle ranches and dairies. Developed over many years to include modest single family homes, condominiums and breath-taking estates.
East of the Village, you can find many acres of vineyards, some ranch land is still being used for cattle. As a result of the vineyards, you will find many wine tasting rooms in the Valley. If horses are your passion, you will find numerous equestrian facilities.
Some of the notable hotels include: The Stonepine Estate which dates back to 1930; The Holman Ranch, a beautiful wedding and events facility, Los Laureles Lodge, a historic lodge acquired in 1913. Moving to Carmel Valley Ranch, you will find a newer hotel, dining, golf, homes and condominiums. One of the newest developments is The Santa Lucia Preserve, one of the best kept secrets, containing no more than 300 homes, a golf course, lake, health club, the old Hacienda which serves as a hotel for owners’ guests, The Bernardus Lodge offers elegant dining and beautiful accommodations. Closer to Carmel, we have the famous Quail Lodge for hotel accommodations, dining, golf, tennis, homes and condos.
